My vision is to continue to be the leading provider of piano lessons in the industry, providing students with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in their musical endeavors.
About Me:
With more than 25 years of experience in teaching classical piano with B.A and M.A degree from Armenian State Music Conservatory and post graduate studies at Longy School of Music in Cambridge in piano performance and music pedagogy I am dedicated to fostering the love of music and helping students to excel, achieve and realize their musical dreams and goals.
As a performing member of the Concord Music Club, America's oldest music club, I frequently perform solo or alongside my father, Petros Keshishian, a professional cellist.
Whether you're beginning from the ground up or enhancing your current abilities, I'm here to provide support and guidance at every stage.
I was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, into a family of professional musicians and began studying piano under my mother's guidance at the age of 4. By 6, I started my formal musical education at V. Lenin Music School #1 in St. Petersburg under the tutelage of my first piano teachers, Efim Farberg and Maya Peysen. I began performing at school concerts around the same time.
When I was 13, my family relocated to Yerevan, Armenia, where I continued my musical journey and education at A. Spendiarov Music School, performing at both school and various venues. I was selected by my school and had the privilege of performing alongside the renowned pianist Eugene Kisin during his visit to Yerevan and my music school.
At 14, I was accepted into the Yerevan College of Music and graduated with a GPA of 4.0 at 18. Simultaneously, I started teaching young children at Ararat Music School and Spendiarov Music School when I was just 14.
At 18, I was accepted into Komitas State Conservatory, where I studied under the supervision of Professor Sergey Kechek. I managed to complete my piano performance and pedagogy studies in 4 years instead of the typical 5, graduating with a GPA of 4.0 Summa Cum Laude. I was then accepted into the doctorate program at the same conservatory.
In 1995, I received an invitation to Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA, and moved to Boston to study under my esteemed professor, Faina Bryanskaya.

To Prof. Thomas Stumpf Music Division School of Fine Arts Boston University 855 Commonwealth Avenue Boston, MA 02215
Dear Professor Thomas Stumpf:
I was fortunate to have Karina Keshishian as my student at the Longy School of Music. As a matter of fact, I knew about her as a child prodigy back in Russia. She is one of the most gifted, skillful and fast-learning students I have had in years, and her promise for the future is extraordinary. I am fully confident that she is destined to achieve accomplishments of the highest caliber in her professional career.
She is an outstanding musician and extremely responsible person. Her talent will make her an asset to her colleagues and future students. I recommend her wholeheartedly and without reservation for the Ph.D. program at the Boston University School of Fine Arts.
Sincerely yours,
Dr. Faina Bryanskaya Professor of Piano and Piano Pedagogy Longy School of Music Cambridge, MA 02138
To whom it may concern:
Karina Keshishian is a pianist of the highest caliber. She possesses a brilliant technique and highly sensitive musicality. We are fortunate that she intends to continue her studies in the U.S. while the Doctor of Musical Arts degree will no doubt boost her career, she will at the same time be a great asset to the musical community of Boston University or any other school she might decide to attend.
In view of her superb background and training in the Russian school of piano playing, and in view of her exceptional individual talents, I would ask that every effort be made to enable her to stay in the U.S. so that she may continue to pursue her artistic goals.
